My feet are fairly wide (i usually need a wide in dressier shoes) and these boots fit me quite nicely, even with a pair of thick socks.I have good-sized calves, and these boots fit nicely and even with jeans tucked in they were not tight. Even if you have small calves, the laces at the top make these boots pretty much a good fit for any size calf. I took out the inserts that were in there and put in green super feet inserts. This didn't change the roominess of the boot at all. The boot is very flexible, the upper part is lined with felt, and the outer layer is thin, so the whole boot is extremely light. If you're not familiar with felt-lining, it's thin, about 1/8 inch, made from polyester and even though you wouldn't guess it from looking at it, it keeps your feet very warm. While my fellow hashers lamented about wet cold feet, I remained warm and toasty with my waterproof boots! There are no eyelet holes for the laces, hence no water could seep through! The liner was perfect and the shoe very comfortable. No blisters, no rubbing!! I will be wearing these a lot!! |
